K‑Shop Luxembourg: A Slice of Korea in the Heart of Europe

Luxembourg is a small country, but it holds unexpected treasures. Among them is a unique boutique: K‑Shop Luxembourg, the nation's very first store fully dedicated to Korean culture and products.

Interview by Jason Edwards · 2026 · Luxembourg

Located in the heart of the capital, K‑Shop brings together K‑beauty items, Korean snacks, K‑pop merchandise, fashion, and everyday lifestyle goods all under one roof. The store has quickly established itself as a key landmark for Korean culture enthusiasts and curious visitors looking to discover an ever‑expanding universe.

To understand how this project came to life and how it contributes to sharing Korean culture in Luxembourg today, the team at K‑Shop Luxembourg kindly agreed to answer our questions.

1. Could you introduce yourselves and explain how K‑Shop Luxembourg was born?

K‑Shop Luxembourg: “We are LuxK Trade Sàrl, a passionate retailer specializing in Korean products. With our boutique K‑Shop, we wanted to introduce the essence of Korean culture to a broader audience here in Luxembourg. Over time, we have curated a diverse collection of items: K‑beauty, skincare, Korean snacks, fashion, lifestyle goods, and of course, K‑pop merchandise. Our goal is to share the beauty, dynamism, and diversity of Korea, one product at a time.”

2. Why did you choose to open a dedicated Korean culture store here in Luxembourg?

K‑Shop Luxembourg: “The initial idea was to create a little corner of Korea right here in Luxembourg—a place where people could feel transported to the other side of the world without boarding a plane. Korean culture has been booming for several years thanks to music, cosmetics, and dramas, but there was no single space that brought all of these elements together. We wanted to bridge that gap and build a true community, rather than just sell products.”

3. What types of Korean products do you offer?

K‑Shop Luxembourg: “Our range covers K‑pop merchandise, cosmetics, Korean snacks and drinks, stationery, fashion, and various daily lifestyle items. After nearly three years in business, we continuously look for new products to enrich our customers' experience.”

4. How do you select your products? Do you work directly with Korean suppliers?

K‑Shop Luxembourg: “We are constantly on the lookout for new trends. Our research is done online through social media, but also directly in Korea during our trips. Our suppliers are primarily Korean, though certain items are also sourced from European wholesalers.”

5. What kind of customers visit your store most often? Locals, expats, K‑pop fans?

K‑Shop Luxembourg: “Our core demographic consists of women aged 15 to 39 who are drawn to K‑pop and K‑beauty. However, we have always aimed to offer a broad selection so that anyone can find something they enjoy.”

6. Have you noticed a growing interest in Korean culture in Luxembourg?

K‑Shop Luxembourg: “More than just a growing trend, we see a genuine and deep enthusiasm. Many of our customers have already traveled to Korea or just returned from a trip, and they are delighted to find that same atmosphere and those familiar feelings right here, even in a modest way.”

7. Which Korean products are the most popular here?

K‑Shop Luxembourg: “The most sought‑after products are K‑pop items (music CDs and official merchandise) as well as cosmetics.”

8. In your opinion, why does Korean culture resonate so strongly with people in Luxembourg?

K‑Shop Luxembourg: “Luxembourg is a highly cosmopolitan country, naturally open to cultural diversity. It is only logical that Korean culture, with its rising global popularity, captivates people here as well.”

9. Do you have any upcoming plans to further promote Korean culture?

K‑Shop Luxembourg: “We try to host activities linked to K‑pop and Korean trends. Last year, we hosted Big Ocean—the world's first K‑pop group composed of hard‑of‑hearing members—for a fan meeting session, which was a first in Luxembourg. Our aim remains to build a united community centered around a shared passion for Korea.”

10. What message would you like to share with Korea.net readers and Korean culture fans in Luxembourg?

K‑Shop Luxembourg: “To the fans of Korean culture in Luxembourg: we warmly invite you to visit our shop and get a taste of Korea.

To international readers of Korea.net: we invite you to discover Luxembourg, a welcoming and multicultural country filled with wonderful places to visit… including our very own K‑Shop!”
