1. “LOOP” seems to open a new chapter for 1VERSE. What message or emotion did you want to convey with this comeback?
KENNY :
One of the reasons this song was created is that I had insecurities about my masculinity because I wasn't good at claw machines. I told everyone about it during the session like it was a therapy session, and the song was born from there...
NATHAN :
Perseverance. We described the song as a sort of addiction, but not necessarily a bad one, and I hope the other side of this theme comes across as well.
AITO :
In life, you go through the same things, fail, and go through the same steps over and over. And even if you fail multiple times, you don't give up, you keep going.
2. The concept and visuals of “LOOP” are striking. How did you build the aesthetics and identity of the album?
KENNY :
Arcades were one of the things that allowed us to break the ice between us, because back then we were all new and didn't have much in common...
NATHAN :
The aesthetics weren't planned in advance. We wanted this summer vibe, so we simply talked about what we'd been doing lately...
AITO :
I love playing video games, especially Pokémon, so the video game vibe of LOOP was a natural choice for us.
3. What did you learn or experience anew while preparing for this comeback?
KENNY :
I wasn't the best rapper coming in, so the fact that I became the first to open the rap part was quite interesting...
NATHAN :
While creating the song, and also during the music video shoot, we worked in a completely different soundscape...
AITO :
During the recording sessions of LOOP, since there was this arcade theme, it was really difficult to adapt to the rhythm and flow of the song...
4. 1VERSE is attracting more and more attention abroad. How do you experience the growth of your international fandom, and do you have a message for your fans worldwide?
ALL (NATHAN, KENNY, AITO) :
We are very grateful to be able to reach such a vast audience, especially for our first year...
5. After the promotions for “LOOP”, what are your goals or hopes for the future: musically, in performance, and as a team?
KENNY :
I want to explore more of the artistic direction we want to take as a group...
NATHAN :
I hope we can continue to release more music, reach a wider audience, and dance on an even bigger stage...
AITO :
There are many things I want, but I'll mention two. Since LOOP had an arcade concept and I love video games, I really want us to collaborate with a video game company...
